Bio
Khara Burgess is an EFL educator, academic leader and visual artist with over 14 years’ experience teaching English internationally. Australian-born and raised in South Africa, she has taught in Australia, China, France, Switzerland and Italy, where she is now based. She holds a degree in Visual Arts, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (TESOL) and the DELTA. Her work focuses on curriculum development, teacher development, academic quality and creative approaches to language learning, with a particular interest in supporting teachers and creating engaging learning experiences.
Khara completed completed the Leadership in ELT course in 2026.
