The Teaching English Online course is designed for qualified/unqualified teachers who are teaching or planning to teach in an online environment. You may be tutoring a student in another country via video conferencing, or supplementing your face-to-face classes with a live online component. Your institution may be preparing to offer online courses and you want to be prepared for the change. It is ideal if you are looking for a way to improve your online teaching, help you plan live lessons and it will give you plenty of practical ideas and practice.
It is recommended that you have a CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL or initial teaching certificate to take this course, although it is not strictly necessary if you have some initial teaching experience. No experience in online teaching is needed for this course.
The course content is very practical. Not only will you be finding out about successful examples of online teaching from other teachers via reading and watching tasks, you’ll also get a chance to practice and develop your own skills with a tutor in small live online sessions. You will develop an awareness of what strategies work best with a variety of learners, and activities that can motivate them. You will gain more confidence and learn how to create engaging, interesting online lessons.
As a participant of this course, you will receive personalised guidance from Daniel Lawrence or Ollie Wood.
