Infographic: working in Asia

By

Are you looking for a place to teach which is different, exciting and which comes with a good salary and visa support? Asia might be the right place for you!

Most Asian countries hire TEFL teachers all year round and are very generous when it comes to benefits such as salaries, end-of-contract bonus, paid flights there and back, accommodation during your stay and welfare support. On top of this, employers are eager to help you get your visa sorted out. It’s likely that you will be teaching business professionals and / or children as those are the fastest growing industries in Asia.

Apart from an interesting food culture and fantastic new experiences, unfortunately, you might also need to prepare for some rather discriminatory practices when it comes to age, race and native language. It is changing but there is still a lot of bias so try not to take it personally.

Take a look at this infographic which demonstrates some of the main features of working in Asia (click on image to enlarge).
