We are thrilled to announce the next round of free teacher training workshops at Oxford TEFL in Barcelona on the 14th, 21st and 28th of March 2025.
Every year we welcome TEFL teachers based in Barcelona or the surrounding areas to our modern school in the centre of the city. Here, we deliver practical, interactive and enjoyable workshops that any teacher can take ideas from and apply immediately to their own lessons.
Whether you are an experienced teacher or someone who is still finding your feet in ELT, we invite you to our friendly, modern school to learn from some of our expert trainers completely free of charge.
As if that wasn’t enough, we even throw in free coffee and snacks to keep those energy levels high between sessions! Enjoy our sunny garden in the break and network with other TEFL teachers.
You can sign up to as many workshops as you like.
You can choose from:
MARCH 14th 2025
11:00 – 11:45 Language teaching as a craft
Is your teaching rooted in science (proven facts about learning) or craft (developed skills and intuition) and what implications does that have for you and your students? I will suggest that a craft-based approach is currently underused, yet essential for ELT professionals to create value for students, stay ahead of AI and compete effectively with other language learning options. In the workshop you will discuss these ideas with some input from me and reflect on what impact they can have on your teaching.
Duncan Foord, Oxford TEFL Director, teacher trainer and author
BREAK – Enjoy drinks and snacks in our sunny garden
12.15 – 13.00 Faster planning for personalised lessons using AI
The last couple of years have seen a boom of AI tools being made available for the general public. But how can teachers make the best use of the new technologies? In this interactive workshop, participants will share the AI tools they currently use and how they use them to reduce lesson preparation time and increase personalisation and relevance of lessons.
