Games Unchained
As teachers, we are often on the look out for ways to improve motivation and thus improve learner outcomes. Gamification is a great strategy to help students with their deeper learning and distract them from the fact they are in class and have to learn something new again. In this workshop we will explore some new ways to make learning exciting by gamifying parts of our lessons! No matter if you are teaching Young Learners, teens, adults, General English, exam classes… there will be something for everyone! – Damian Szerszen, Oxford House Teacher and DipTESOL trainee
Session 2 (12:15 – 13:00)
Rethinking Listening Lessons
If you and your students are tired of the same approach to listening lessons, join me as I demonstrate a variety of micro-listening lessons which will not only help to improve your students´ listening but also add variety and fun to developing this essential skill! – Sinead Collins, Oxford House Teacher and DipTESOL graduate
Friday March 17th

Even experienced teachers often say that they lack ideas for integrating pronunciation work into their lessons. In this session, we will see a selection of hands-on activities which will help your students improve their skills in this important area. Whatever the level you’re teaching, you’ll come away with a range of ideas you can put into practice during your next class. – Duncan Foord, Oxford TEFL Director
Session 2 (12:15 – 13:00)
Getting AI to Work for You
Many teachers are justifiably concerned about the negative impacts that AI can have on learning and teaching, but it’s not all doom and gloom. In this workshop we’ll look at principles for using AI in English lessons and explore activities that will get AI to work for us, not against us. – Rubens Heredia, Oxford TEFL CELTA Tutor
As you can see, then, there is a wide and varied range of workshops available. Remember that you can attend as many or as few as you’d like.
However many you choose to sign up for, be sure to join us for coffee and snacks between 11:45 and 12:30.
We look forward to bringing together the ELT community of Barcelona – see you there!
