Info about the course

Terms and conditions of enrolment for the CELTA (TEFL) + Kids English Program in Barcelona

  1. In order to enrol in this program, applicants must complete the CELTA course application process in full and be accepted onto the course.
  2. Your place and fees on the program cannot be transferred to another person.
  3. All full-time CELTA courses in Barcelona include either 19 or 20 days of class (depending on holidays). The course fees are not affected by the course duration.
  4. The CELTA course will be taken during the first month of the program and the training for teaching Kids will be taken during week 6 and 7 of the program. It is not possible to change the order or duration of these courses.
  5. The cultural activities comprise a variety of activities such as guided walks, days out and enjoyable local classes. The exact activities that applicants will participate in will depend on the time of year and availability.
  6. Participants must have their own laptop with Windows or Mac OS.
  7. If you would like to postpone your registration to the CELTA + Kids program and notify us…
    • …at least 14 days prior to the first day of your CELTA + Kids program, all fees can be carried forward to a future CELTA + Kids program.
    • …less than 14 days prior to the first day of your the program start date or within the first 14 days of the program, €2400 of the fees paid can be carried forward to a future course or program.
    • …after the first 14 days of the program, no fees can be carried forward to a different program.
  8. If you would like to cancel your enrolment in the CELTA + Kids program and you notify us…
    • …at least 14 days prior to the first day of your CELTA + Kids program, all fees minus a €600 administration fee will be refunded.
    • …less than 14 days prior to the first day of your the CELTA + Kids program start date or within the first 14 days of the program, €2400 will be refunded.
    • …after the first 14 days of the program, no refund will be made.
  9. We reserve the right to cancel a CELTA course up to 5 days before the start date. Trainees are advised to have cancellation insurance for their flights and to check the refund policy before making any payments to a third party (e.g., flights, insurance, accommodation, etc.).
  10. In order to receive the Cambridge CELTA certificate, you must pass all assessments successfully.
  11. In order to receive the Oxford TEFL certificate of participation, you must pass the CELTA and attend at least 85% of the Kids training.
  12. Oxford TEFL cannot be held responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings.
  13. Oxford TEFL cannot be held responsible for the applicant’s external costs such as flights, accommodation or insurance.
  14. You may be placed with more than one host during the full period of your studies.
