Ollie Wood been working in ELT since 2006 and joined our team of CLIL and CELTA trainers in 2014. He has covered every position in the private sector from Teacher to Academic Manager. He is particularly interested in helping to bring the skills of ELT professionals to teachers in the state sector to create more inclusive classrooms. He works extensively to promote CLIL methodology and the use of technology in the classroom. In this blog post, Ollie provides some advice for how you can plan effectively for CLIL lessons.

Nicola Meldrum is our Trinity DipTESOL Course Director and works very closely with our participants during both the online and face to face phase in Barcelona. She has designed our online Teaching Pronunciation course, organizes local teacher development events and speaks at international conferences. She has also written a wide range of articles and teaching materials. In this blog post she reflects on the first week of our Trinity DipTESOL course this October 2018.

Tim is based in Bangkok Thailand, where he works as a CELTA trainer and also prepares students for the IELTS exam. He is a tutor on our Teaching IELTS and Teaching EAP teacher development courses. He has taught EAP at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and Leicester University in the UK. He spent 10 years teaching English in Russia and has worked in Japan. In this blog post he discusses how to increase your student’s score for the iELTS exam.

Daniel Lawrence is a freelance online English teacher, materials creator and translator. He is also one of our Trinity CertTESOL and Trinity DipTESOL graduates. After three years of teaching in private language schools in Catalonia, he began working from home with one-to-one learners online and is now our Teaching English Online tutor.

Scott Thornbury is a guest tutor on our Trinity DipTESOL course and he has also taught an online MA TESOL program for The New School in New York. His latest book is Scott Thornbury’s 101 Grammar Questions (Cambridge University Press). In this blog post he explains more about the term 'Grammar McNuggets' which he coined over 20 years ago.

Duncan Foord is the Director of OxfordTEFL, Barcelona. He has 30 years experience in language teaching, teacher training and school leadership and management. He is the author of “From English Teacher to Learner Coach” (with Dan Barber, The Round 2014) The Developing Teacher (Delta Publishing, 2009) and The Language Teachers Survival Handbook with Lindsay Clandfield (Its Magazines, 2008). He is lead trainer on the OxfordTEFL Leadership in ELT course (on line and face to face).
He is a regular presenter at conferences on a range of areas, in particular teacher development and leadership and management in ELT.

Nik Peachey is a freelance writer, teacher trainer and consultant specialising in digital publishing, online course development and the development of digital resources for teachers. Since 1992 he has worked all over the world as a teacher, trainer and project manager. He was Global Head of Learning for Macmillan’s online English school EnglishUp from 2014 to 2016. In 2016 he won his second British Council Award for Innovations (ELTon) and co-founded PeacheyPublications Ltd https://peacheypublications.com/

Fatima Elmcharfi completed our 100% Online CELTA course in July 2020. She is American and has been living in Saudi Arabia for over a decade. Before the 100% Online CELTA course, Fatima tutored part-time and helped homeschool children. She then decided to gain the CELTA to further her career. In this blog post, she explains more about the challenges of the course and what her plans are now that she is a qualified teacher.

Daniel Pagnoccolo has been teaching primary and secondary school students in Moscow, Russia for the past two years. He is originally from Australia and previously taught primary school and secondary school students for five and half years there before moving overseas to embark on a new teaching journey.
