Watch the winning video below:
The competition tasks:
Step 1: Post a photo of yourself during your school years on our Facebook page scholarship image and describe as a comment on the photo in no more than 80 words a fond/ interesting/ funny school memory.
Step 2: Our 10 finalists were asked to make a simple video which measured their suitability for the course and highlighted finalist’s desire to teach English. In the video they had to describe the ways in which they would use this certificate to teach children around the world. What difference do they hope to make to the children or communities where they hope to teach in the future?
Duong made it through both rounds and then finally won with her winning video. The video was judged by our expert panel: Oxford TEFL Director Duncan Foord and Trinity CertTESOL course director in Barcelona Anna Stubbs. We particularly like Duong’s desire to travel to remote villages in Vietnam to help those on low incomes improve their lives and the others around them.
Many thanks for our other finalists:
Anna English, Deni Bodea, Desideria Mutzeac, Fatima Taha, Kate Weatherby, Julian Munday, Maria Sosnovskaya, Nataliia Zhachek, Ruslana Shamanska
Congratulations to Duong and we look forward to seeing her in Barcelona in 2018!
