Now I can say I’ve learned how to integrate pronunciation into a lesson

I took the Teaching Pronunciation Course at the end of 2017 with Nicola Meldrum. I highly recommend it! The course was 100% online, but we interacted through messages in the forum and we had live meetings for our tutorials. I knew little about pronunciation besides teaching individual sounds. Now I can say I’ve learned how to integrate pronunciation into a lesson, not only individual sounds, but also other aspects of pronunciation such as intonation and sentence stress. Pronunciation is now part of my courses syllabi. It’s no longer something that happens when a student makes a mistake or when I teach the simple past tense for example. It is an integral part of my lessons. It is planned. There is a communicative purpose behind it. I didn’t have this awareness until I took this course. Nicola encouraged me and always asked the right questions to lead me where I needed to go. I couldn’t be happier with the course, my tutor, and as a result, my growth as a teacher
