Oxford TEFL are excited to announce that this month we will be offering a very special workshop to anyone who is interested in finding out more about TEFL without having to commit to a longer course.
So what will I learn during this workshop?
Have you ever wondered how languages are taught and learnt? What makes a good teacher? The day will begin with a session about language teaching and learning languages.
Following that, you will experience an unknown foreign language class. There will be no English spoken during this session and we guarantee you one hour of a foreign language which you may never forget!
After the break, you will be able to learn more about the nuts and bolts of the English language: language: Grammar, phonology and vocabulary and how to teach them.
In the next session you will be able to watch a demonstration video and review techniques which will help you visualize the approaches adopted by language teachers in order to reach class objectives.
How can you teach topics? After lunch you will learn how to create fun and engaging discussions, role-play, debate and opinion cards for the ESL classroom.
Do you think you can you teach? The following session will teach you how to prepare your first lesson and participate in peer teaching and receive feedback.
Is teaching for you? How can you find a job as a language teacher? Finally, after the break you will receive advice on finding work abroad, job search, CV & interview preparation and tips. Find out what steps to take to get that job as a TEFL teacher!
